Regional President, Clear Channel Outdoor - Northeast & Southeast
Jasper (JJ) Johnson plays a dual role as Regional President of Clear Channel Outdoor Americas (CCOA)-Northeast and Regional President of CCOA-Southeast. In this combined leadership capacity, Jasper has direct responsibility for New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC/Baltimore markets in the Northeast, as well as Atlanta, Daytona Beach, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Ocala, Orlando, Tampa Bay, and West Palm Beach markets in the Southeast.
In addition to overseeing all sales, marketing, real estate, public affairs, and operations across these regions, Jasper has been successful in implementing growth strategies for some of CCOA’s top markets and growing the company’s footprint. With over 30 years’ experience in the out-of-home (OOH) advertising industry, Jasper brings deep expertise in leveraging the intersection of technology, data and OOH media to enable customers to activate impactful campaigns across the company’s robust network of roadside, transit and airport media displays.
Jasper began his career in 1981 with ET Legg, Inc. as a bill poster and pictorial painter. In 1983, Jasper joined Empire Outdoor, the eight-sheet division of Ackerley Media (AK Media), as a lease representative. He later rose to national/local sales account manager for AK Media’s Junior Poster Division, focusing on major multicultural corporations and ad agencies in South Florida, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville, and Los Angeles. Jasper eventually advanced through leadership roles as national account director and vice president/sales manager at AK Media where he expanded the South Florida market and managed all sales and marketing for the division. In 2004, Johnson was appointed president and general manager of Clear Channel Outdoor for South Florida.
Jasper currently serves on the board of directors of the Kingdom Life Community Services Inc. 501(c)(3), a nonprofit social and human services organization dedicated to assisting families and individuals in achieving independent lives. He is also an active participant in the Javanna Productions M.O.V.E. 501(c)(3), a nonprofit organization that raises funds and awareness for social causes and community projects via artistic productions.
