Gene Leehan
Senior Regional President, Clear Channel Outdoor Americas
Gene Leehan is executive vice president and senior regional president of Clear Channel Outdoor North America (CCOA). He oversees seven regional presidents who are collectively responsible for CCOA’s 29 domestic business units.
Gene has over 30 years of experience in the out-of-home industry. Gene began his career as an account executive with Patrick Media Group in 1986, followed by management positions with Eller Media Group. He then joined Clear Channel Outdoor in February 1995 as president of the Dallas division. In October 1996, he was promoted to the position of president of the South-Central Region and his leadership role expanded in 2003 to the president of the Western Region.
Gene is a graduate from King’s College in Pennsylvania with a BS in business administration. For six years, Gene served on the board of directors for the Foundation for the Outdoor Advertising Research and Education (FOARE) a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation fostering research and education on issues of critical importance to the future of the outdoor advertising industry and was a past president of the OAAT (Outdoor Advertising Association of Texas). He also served on the board of directors of the National Cowboys of Color Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2015, Gene was inducted into the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) Hall of Fame.
