Regional President, Clear Channel Outdoor-South Central
As regional president of Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO)-South Central, Michelle Costa has direct responsibility for the Dallas Houston, and San Antonio markets. She oversees all facets of the business, including sales, marketing, real estate, public and regulatory affairs, and operations. Michelle handles complex negotiations with elected and appointed officials to resolve major property rights issues and create asset protection. She also actively manages the company’s legislative strategy across Texas.
Michelle has nearly 30 years in the out-of-home (OOH) industry. Prior to this latest regional responsibility, Michelle served as market president for the Houston division at Clear Channel Outdoor. During her tenure as market president, she had total oversight of the local business unit and was actively involved in media acquisitions. She began her career with the company as an account executive. Prior to joining CCO, Michelle was the retail sales manager with the Houston Post.
Michelle is a proud alumnus of the University of Houston. She currently serves as the national director for the Outdoor Advertising Association of Texas. She is also the fundraising chairman for the Foundation for Outdoor Advertising Research and Education (FOARE) for the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA). Michelle previously served on the boards of the Dream Foundation, the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas, and the American Advertising Federation-Houston Chapter. And in July 2019, she was named as a “Woman Who Means Business” by the Houston Business Journal. She and her husband, Frank, live in suburban Houston and have two sons.
